Kael Ignisheart
The Flame Warrior
Long before the Runeborn wars began, Kael Ignisheart was an ordinary soldier of the Ember Legion — a disciplined, loyal fighter with more heart than talent. His battalion was sent to investigate a ruined citadel buried beneath Mount Solmare, where whispers of ancient fire magic lured countless fools to their doom. It was there that Kael found it — the Ember Rune, still burning in the ashes of a forgotten god.
When his fingers brushed its molten surface, his flesh should have burned away. Instead, the rune sank into his heart, setting his soul ablaze. His comrades fled, believing him consumed by hellfire — but Kael emerged days later, reborn in living flame. His body was no longer entirely human; his veins pulsed with magma, and his eyes glowed like twin furnaces. The fire had not destroyed him — it had chosen him.
Since that day, Kael has wandered the fractured lands of Runeborn, a living embodiment of flame's duality — destruction and renewal. He has learned to wield his inferno not as a weapon of rage, but of purpose. To purify what the darkness corrupts, to rekindle dying hope, to bring warmth to the world that fears his light. Some call him cursed, others call him divine — but Kael fights for neither praise nor pity.
He fights to remind the world that fire, though feared, is also what gives it life.
Fire destroys, yes — but it also forges what must endure.
